Veteran Owned, Veteran Served
Our values-based organization welcomes veterans and military spouses. We believe in fostering the future success of servicemen and servicewomen. Our hiring initiatives are designed to support vet transition to civilian life by creating subject matter expertise opportunities in which veterans can seamlessly translate their skillsets into the private sector industry. Currently, 30% of our workforce is powered by veterans or military spouses. We are always looking to gain the phenomenal knowledge service members inevitably bring to the industry.
Our Hiring Initiatives
Skillbridge: The SkillBridge program is an opportunity for Air Force members to gain valuable civilian work experience through specific industry training, apprentieships, or internships during their last 180-days of Service. SkillBridge connects Air Force members with industry partners in real-world job experiences. We are a proud SkillBridge partner.
BAM values the subject-matter expertise military spouses bring to our organization. We are committed to supporting our service members and their families through our military spouse initiatives including the MSEP and MySTeP programs. Led by fellow military spouses, these programs provide transition and employment support.
Employee Spotlight
LaTeshia's Story
LaTeshia realized her dream of serving in the world’s greatest Air Force at the age of 17 and proudly served our country for over 20 years.
In 2020 she held the rank of Senior Master Sergeant/E-8, where she served as the Superintendent, Talent Management and Development. In this capacity, she directly supported the United States Air Force Chiefs’ Group and the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force by assessing and building talent management processes and succession planning for global mission sustainment.
LaTeshia was pleasantly surprised by her seamless transition into civilian life. The Skillbridge program removed any possible anxiety she felt and helped her to fully embrace the next professional stage of her life. Shortly after her Skillbridge internship with BAM, she was presented with an opportunity to join the BAMily. Aside from the great environment conducive to learning and development, LaTeshia thinks that her biggest takeaway from this experience is that she was going to be okay.
She received a plethora of training and support from great coaches and highly technical engagements with industry experts. She is grateful for the challenging and extremely rewarding program. Currently, she is Product Owner for the Force Development Team within BAM. In this role, LaTeshia brings the customer’s vision to our team for IT solutions, prioritizes the product backlog, and ensures everyone understands the “why” behind the development so we build ‘the right thing.’ In other words, she continues to serve our Airmen.
